He nodded. He turned to her when she mentioned pool toys. "You'll be sorry you got a pool when Kairi gets here," he pointed out and padded into the kitchen, gathering the food piled on the counter and hauled it to the tables in the main room.

Kairi skidded to a stop at the door. "Did I hear pool?" she asked, ears forward and panting from running. She was really hyper.
